Reinforced Lightweight Concrete Panels

Geneus37

“Super lightweight, non-combustible concrete panel with textured surface”

Although traditional bricks are durable and have good longevity for residential construction, some of their production processes impact the environment. Bricks utilise more raw materials in its manufacture and is less energy efficient than autoclaved aerated panels.

The Geneus37 is a 37mm thick steel reinforced “autoclaved lightweight cellular concrete” panel that offers outstanding environmental, aesthetics and cost benefits as an external wall cladding system. It comes with rich textures that give distinguished styles and façade impressions.

What really matters is on the inside. With Geneus37 and the extra usable space it offers, you will see what we mean.

Features

  • Geneus37 is a Japanese-made superior alternative to bricks, insulated sandwich panels, expanded polystyrene boards and fibre cement sheets for use as exterior walls and façades in low-rise residential and commercial buildings.

The panel weighs 22kg and is strong, durable, non-combustible and structurally and dimensionally stable with minimal dry shrinkage and linear expansion.

With factory-treated water repellant technology, the panel does not easily absorb water on the surface and into the panel thus preventing decay of timber structures and condensation inside wall cavities.

The cellular structure of Geneus37 provides excellent thermal and sound insulation for better and more comfortable living – heat loss from external wall is 34% of the entire house while sound reduction is by 30dB.

Because it is super lightweight, the Geneus37 is easy and fast to install and can be finished with site-applied roll on or sprayed on acrylic paint which saves wait time compared to render coatings.

The panels come with smooth or decorative surface finishes for style and aesthetic impression and can be installed horizontally or vertically to load-bearing timber or steel frames.

Key installation benefits:

  • Less physical strain due to the panel’s super lightweight

  • Cost savings due to quicker installation time

  • Easier and faster to finish panels with acrylic paint than render coating

  • Additional 6.5m² of internal usable space (based on 150m² house using double brick)
